What’s OptiX’s purpose? 🎯#
OptiX serves as a tool to allow Meridian staff the ability to:
- Gather information about outages by surfacing the COKE (COKE is a Ruby on Rails application that Meridian uses to manage plant-outages) Outage Plan in a more user-friendly format.
- Simulate Historic and Future Outage Scenarios to allow users to understand “what could have happened” as well as evaluate scenarios against each other to find the most financially, and operationally viable.
- Understand the Opportunity Cost associated with all Meridian Outages by using our valuation model to value each Meridian Outage, going back to 2021, and forward two weeks into the future.
- Provide site staff with information on beneficial outage moves, without forcing staff into executing.
